DPTT

DPTT (Dipentamethylenethiuram Hexasulfide) is a thiuram-based rubber vulcanization accelerator and sulfur donor widely used in the manufacture of technical rubber products. It provides efficient curing performance, contributes additional sulfur to the vulcanization system, and promotes the development of excellent mechanical and dynamic properties in vulcanized rubber compounds. DPTT is particularly suitable for applications requiring high heat resistance, compression set resistance, and long-term durability. DPTT is commonly used in natural rubber and synthetic rubber formulations for the production of tires, seals, gaskets, hoses, industrial rubber goods, cable compounds, and molded rubber products. It can be used as a primary accelerator or in combination with thiazole and sulfenamide accelerators to optimize cure characteristics and overall compound performance. The product is typically supplied as a pale yellow to yellow powder or granules and offers good compatibility with a wide range of elastomers. As a sulfur donor accelerator, DPTT helps improve aging resistance, heat stability, and crosslink structure while reducing the need for elemental sulfur in selected cure systems. DPTT is valued in high-performance rubber applications where consistent vulcanization behavior, enhanced thermal stability, and reliable long-term performance are required. Its versatility makes it a useful component in efficient and semi-efficient sulfur vulcanization systems.
