IPPD

IPPD (N-Isopropyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine) is a highly effective antioxidant and antiozonant widely used in the rubber industry to protect rubber compounds against degradation caused by ozone, oxygen, heat, dynamic fatigue, and weathering. It is especially valued for its ability to significantly improve the service life and durability of rubber products exposed to demanding environmental conditions. IPPD is commonly used in the production of tires, automotive rubber components, conveyor belts, hoses, seals, gaskets, cable insulation, and other industrial rubber goods. As a reactive antiozonant, it migrates to the rubber surface where it helps prevent ozone cracking and surface deterioration, maintaining the mechanical integrity and appearance of vulcanized rubber products during long-term use. The product is typically supplied as dark gray to black flakes, granules, or pellets and is compatible with natural rubber, SBR, BR, NBR, and other synthetic elastomers. IPPD provides excellent protection against thermo-oxidative aging, flex cracking, and environmental degradation while preserving elasticity, tensile strength, and overall performance. Due to its outstanding protective properties and proven performance, IPPD remains one of the most widely used antidegradants in high-performance rubber formulations where long-term durability, weather resistance, and reliable product performance are essential.
