PVI

PVI (N-(Cyclohexylthio)phthalimide), also known as CTP (Cyclohexylthiophthalimide), is a highly effective pre-vulcanization inhibitor and scorch retarder used in sulfur-cured rubber compounds. PVI is specifically designed to delay the onset of vulcanization during mixing, processing, extrusion, and calendaring operations, thereby significantly improving processing safety and reducing the risk of premature curing (scorch). It is particularly effective when used in combination with sulfenamide accelerators such as CBS, TBBS, and DCBS. PVI is widely used in the manufacture of tires, conveyor belts, hoses, seals, gaskets, footwear, and various technical rubber goods.
